I like doing these sketch covers since I can do them during down time. Full transparency: There isn't much "down time' on my day-to-day... more like "right before I pass out before bed" time.
Also...respect to the publishers who pick good paper to use on these covers. There are still a few in the wild that are suboptimal to do ay sort of inking or marker work.
